How to sort stuff

Tons of American have TONS of stuff. Either they purchased it at black Friday or they thought that they really wanted it.

Now not just the US has this problem but a lot of countries (actually most) are minimalists and try to keep only the essentials. Most of the time when you walk into your garage to get some stuff and you see all the stuff piling up it's not a relaxing feeling. And that's totally fine. But for most of, it reminds us of all the things we have to do. It's like seeing dirty laundry piling up by your bedroom door. If you make a habit to clean and sort out one bin a day from your garage instead of watching TV for 3 hours it's a piece of cake!

Let's say you get back from work at 5:30 pm and you get yourself some dinner and do whatever your daily "Get back from work routine"is and it's 6:45 or a little later. You remember that you were going to clean out a bin, you can still do it!  You open the door to your scary and dark garage or the place where you stash all your guilt induced purchases that you hide you can take them out in the morning when the garage is light and bright. To make sure that no ninjas hiding behind the vacuum cleaner that you bought 3 years ago that you said you would fix but forgot about! While you are cleaning out the bins and need a little pick me up, you can watch The Bachelor or Keeping up with the Kardashians, (if you can focus on getting that bin cleaned!!) or look forward to binge-watching it after you clean that bin (even more incentive if you aren't afraid of ninjas (but to be fair, who isn't?).

You could also listen to some happy music! Now, how do you sort a bin? There are 3 ways you can separate the stuff that you want to the stuff you don't. Example one: Dump the bin in the middle of the floor, therefore it MAKES you sort it or shove it back into the bin if you don't finish sorting the bin and you wait till morning. After you dump it you can make a Keep, Donate and Trash pile. If you can't decide if something goes in the keep or donate, think to yourself: "I put this item in a bin and I moved into this House/Apartment 3 years ago! Have I been able to live without it? Have I missed it?" If the answer is no than put it in the Keep pile and cherish it. If you didn't miss it and it's in good shape, donate it, someone will enjoy it! Well, that's all the knowledge I have of sorting bins! I wish you good luck with cleaning out your garage!
