How to make Oatmilk
Just recently I have started to explore the world of non-dairy milk! I was at Target and I saw oat milk! I had never even heard of oat milk! It was from Oat-ly. I got the original but they also have chocolate and low fat! All of which are vegan! This milk is like regular milk with an oaty aftertaste, my recipe is a bit thicker and very oaty. Although I have only made one non-dairy milk, I think I have perfected it! Here is the recipe

Things you will need- serving 1
3/4 cups of rolled oats -uncooked
1 1/4 cups of water
Cheesecloth
1 1/2 tablespoons of maple syrup- I used Mrs. Butterworth's
1 rubber band
A blender
A glass-or anything that holds liquid
A spoon
Ok! First, pour all of the oats into the blender and at the water. Then pulse for 10 seconds and add the maple syrup. Make sure that the maple syrup is mixed in and not just a blob in one part of the oat milk. Put your blender on the lowest setting and count to 3 slowly and then you're done with the blender. Put cheesecloth over the mason jar or container. If you are doing this alone, put the rubber band around the cheesecloth so it doesn't slip into the container. Pour the oat milk in. Take off the rubber band and squeeze all the liquid out. After everything has been "sifted", you can put it in the refrigerator or drink, it's up to you!
I have the oat milk in cereal, smoothies and you can put it in baked goods! If you are interested in making more kinds of milk, here are 7 different kinds of milk to make!
