Minimalism

Minimalism is a word that has tons of possibilities. For some people it can mean having nothing and not being a hoarder or being able to count all the things that you own on 6 hands. But for other people, it's a dream lifestyle, peace or even freedom. What it really is, is getting rid of the stuff that you don't use and by the time you've purged, you should only have the things that spark joy.

That's what it should feel like when you hold an item that you are going to keep.

It's not a choice that someone else makes for you. You have to decide what you want to change in your life. You also have to make sure that you don't change something that you do like in your lifestyle. In other words, minimalism is one of the hundreds of thousands of different titles for a lifestyle.
The first thing I did was read " The life-changing magic of tidying up: The Japanese art of decluttering and organizing" by Marie Kondo.

I had over 350 articles of clothing and now I have about 100. This book can be a little over the top at times, but it gives you a better perspective of what you may be getting into. I read this book while I was in Michigan and I wanted to purge my clothes right away. Unfortunately, half of my clothes were in California and a quarter were still in Florida. After we got California I started decluttering, like, a lot. Now I can count how many shirts I have on 20 fingers! I first started sorting out my clothes by dumping them on my parent's bed. They covered the entire bed! Then when I purged the second time my clothes only covered half of my parent's bed (not including shoes). Then the third time I purged (like a week later) all of my clothes covered 1/3 of the bed! I was so happy.

When you hear someone say that their kids went off to college and they felt like a weight was lifted off their shoulders.

That's what happened to me! You have less to worry about and can have a more efficient day. Minimalism is not just about how many shirts you have. It's about when you wake up in the morning what mindset you to have. What you think about what you're going to do that day and how positive you are about it. When you only have the things that you love you have less to clean up! When you clean your room it will stay clean! Or you can do this

Usually people who are minimalists eat fairly healthy not all but most, I am still working on this one and have started a goal of eating fish at least 2 times per week. Now if I eat fish 2 times a week next year I will have eaten fish 104 times whereas in 2017 I could count how many times I had fish on one hand. How you decided to see life, you may have heard the phrase 'Minimalists perspective" if not here's what it means, being happy about life and looking at life like no one else does and ever will in the best way possible. And that's what minimalism is all about Charlie Brown.
