5 teen entrepreneurs part I

When I was 7 and my Dad would drive me to school, every day we would talk about me coming out with a cookbook. This went on for 3 years and then my parents took me out of public school and home-schooled me. They have for the last 4 years. The reason I don't have a cookbook right now is that my Dad and I  only talked about it in the car and nowhere else. The farthest I got in making that cookbook was dreaming, I was great at that, I never thought of the recipes that would go in the book or how everything would be formatted. It was always thinking "Wow! I could have my own cookbook that would make money!". When my mom and dad took me out of school, my dad stopped driving me to public school and we stopped talking about the cookbook idea. Though from home-schooling I have gained a huge amount of knowledge that I would have never learned if I had stayed in public school. Here are 5 kids that are my age that have come up with business ideas and not only
dreamed of them, but produced a product and made a profit from it.

When Cory Nieves was just 6 years old he was tired of riding the bus, his solution... Get a car, his mom told him that he could save up for a car by creating a business! He started selling hot cocoa and then expanded into lemonade and hot cocoa. Corey's mom (Lisa) and he started trying to find the perfect chocolate chip cookie recipe! After making a couple recipes and tweaking them, they created the perfect chocolate chip cookie! Corey was not old enough to make the cookies (laws, they have there pro's and cons, am I right) so he rents out a commercial kitchen and pays his mom by the hour to make them. Corey and his Mom have a website where you can have cookies delivered to your door! He has several kinds of cookies now: Double Dark, Oatmeal, Raisin, Sugar and dark and white chocolate chip. They promise that there will be more kinds of cookies to come and they have Gluten Free cookies as well. Here is where you can buy these handmade extra chocolate chippy cookies

Mikaila got stung by a bee twice and became fascinated in bees and what they do for the ecosystem, she also found out that they were in danger. So whenever you buy a bottle of her Great Granny Helens Flaxseed lemonade (that has sugar replaced with honey) you're saving a bee! When Mikaila was only 11 years old she got a deal with Whole Foods. Whole Foods paid her $11 million dollars to sell her lemonade in their stores! I remember having 2 lemonade stands when I was 7 and I on my first one I got $373 for 5 hours of selling homemade lemonade from my neighbors meyer lemons.  I hand squeezed all the lemons and made the lemonade, my hands smelled so good after that day and I had made more money than I had made in my whole life in just 1 day! Here is her website and you can find out where to get some of her lemonade here
