Being born in the Usa
Being born in the United States of America is very interesting. Now at the ripe old age of 13 I have learned that the US does a lot of things differently than the rest of the world. For example: politically, measuring, speaking, living, etc! Would it have been better if I was born ANYWHERE else in the world but here??? I don't know! Americans have more freedom than most countries but they also have routines and never get to do what people who don't have nearly as much freedom as they do, do for fun. We don't get to "live a little!". Or our use of the term is much different.

Would I get different schooling? Would I have a bigger fear of guns or would I want to have one under my pillow? I think that one of the pros of being born in a different country is that I would learn more than one language! In Indonesia, children are taught more than one language. Yep, that's right they know a ton more than the 1 1/2 semesters that you took in Spanish by the time they are 15. The reason they learn more than one language is that the children usually go out and sell things to tourists. The tourists most likely won't know their native tongue so they learn yours. Whereas in the USA we get along just fine with English and don't think about learning Spanish or a certain language so that we can make a living. Or if you speak Spanish and you live somewhere where you can get a job in Spanish or a different language, great! A pro to speaking multiple languages is that there are tons of jobs where they would like you to speak more languages if a situation occurs where it was needed (so a security blanket for the company). Another thing that the US does DRASTICALLY different from the rest of the world is food... The United States has so much fast food it's not even funny. Here is just a comparison of how many Mcdonald's restaurants are in the US and how many are in Japan. There are 37,855 Mcdonald's in the United States as of 2018. And Japan has 2,995.

That's a lot less! Japan's fast food places are much more healthy than the United States and most of the time Japanese people decide to make their meals at home! A lot of people in the US drive to work for their 9-5 and have desk jobs. In Japan, most people walk or use their car very rarely. This is just one country that does things differently than the US (I think better, but that's just me) and because of that has a 3.5% obese rate while the US has 30% obesity rate. Every country is different and some do better things than others but we are all on the same planet.
