How disneyland changed my life
I have had the best times of my life in Disneyland. In fact I was brought to the happiest place on earth when I was less than a year old! Although I did not feel like it was the happiest place on earth when I was that age, it was (all I wanted to do was sleep).

As I grew older (yes I am so wise now compared to 2 years ago, such a youngling back then!) my parents took me to Disneyland for mini vacations. When my parents were able to get away from their business for a day and everything wouldn't fall to pieces, we would go to Disneyland! My teachers weren't happy about this because I would tell all my friends. They would say “You went to Disneyland, again?”. They thought I was so lucky that I went to Disneyland every month or so, but that was some of the only quality time I got to spend with my parents when I was in elementary school. Now I spend SO much time with my parents, I have more quantity and minutes of quality, I’m joking, kind of. Kids would see their parents in the morning and get picked up after school by them or go to a school program, but at the end of the day they would get to see them. My Dad had a crazy work schedule as did my mom, I would always get picked up by someone other than them. For breakfast I had Mcdonalds, every morning. It wasn’t bad at all but I think back to all the plastic spoons I produced and cringe.

It was a fast way to get breakfast plus it was cheap! Here is how the day would start when we would go to Disneyland... My parents would take me out of school early or when it ended so I wouldn’t miss a full day. My Dad would drive for 7 hours and we would have so much fun! Sometimes if he was to tired to drive the whole way and my mum was too, so we would stop and stay the night at Harris Ranch. They had the best meats in any hotel I have been. We would drive a couple more hours and then we were there! You walk in and everyone felt happy. That was what it was supposed to feel like and Disney has engineered that aspect perfectly. I would spend the whole day running around whilst my parents running after me, trying to catch up. I would be so tired after a full Disney day but it was amazing when I was 7. I always had a big smoked turkey leg. Ugh, those were to die for. We would always try to go on Pirates of the Caribbean first, The Tiki Room and then, It’s a Small World. Those were the rides that our family enjoyed as a family. My mom and I liked going on California screamin and Tower of Terror. My dad and I would go on Soarin and Tarzan's treehouse. The day was packed with excitement, very high food bills and smiles.

I don’t want to sound corny but… Disney has made me who I am today. If I didn’t have that day or two I spent time with my family every month, I would have felt a little like they were working all the time and didn’t want to spend any time with me. When it was only one of those. They were working all the time. Now we live in Orlando and can go to Disney World, Universal Studios and Epcot whenever we please. Although we need to take better advantage of that we are only 17 minutes away from the gate to Disney Parks!
