A part of my life
The day started off with my mom yelling "KT get up!". And once in a lifetime I got up a couple seconds later.
When I got up I was greeted by Pumpkin (my adorable cat) at the end of my bed! I went in the bathroom with my clothes and sat down on the toilet and to my surprise I had ton of blood come out of me! Yay (sarcastically), I have my period, again... I continued getting dressed and I got my phone, my mom handed me my breakfast, I grabbed the reddi whip whip cream bottle and we were out the door! We headed over to the house (without Mango, sadly). On the car ride there I did Duolingo and Elevate. I have a 96 day streak on Elevate!!! And in Duolingo I am in 41st place in the Silver league and my mom is in the Sapphire league (one level a head). Then we got to the house and started working right away (but I had breakfast first). Breakfast today was 2 Mariposa plum tarts. The plums came from our tree ( which soon won't be our tree if the house sells) and the pie dough from Rayleys and to top it all off, whipped cream to make it less sour! My job today was sweeping/blowing/vacuuming up all the bottle brush flowers or as my family likes to call it "flower poops". I decided to just sweep the flower poops into a garbage bag and prop Teri's pillows (Teri is the person who staged our house). Teri's pillows are so soft I just wanted to sit down while I swept today! I wonder if when we go to Florida we will have soft comfy pillows? After the job was done I plopped on the couch and looked for the word count for Ann Frank the diary of a young girl. My mom helped me and eventually we found it as I couldn't the day before.
I started reading right away! As my goal today was 32,000 words. I love reading books about diaries which is what pushed me to start one. The first one I read was one about Marie Antoinette. I found it fascinating and loved that I could read what I person was secretly going through and how their mind worked. Once I started reading the diary of Ann Frank it was hard to stop! But eventually I did as my mom and I packed up and went to the oxbow for breakfast. We decided to go to Kitchen Door. I walked in and it immediately looked and smelled familiar. I saw the chef that always looks determined, focused and angry all at the same time flipping an egg and the pole with all sorts of colorful drawings of the restaurant drawn by kids.
We were seated at a table that was FREEZING and my mom brought out my home grown tomato and then we moved tables to a place that wasn't directly under a fan. My dad arrived shortly after and our mushroom soup had just arrived too. The soup tasted so good and warmed my core up almost immediately! I looked over to see an Asian doctor giving a commercial on device that massages any part of your body that you put it on! And then to my right was Fox news, the reporter was the blond girl that looks like she has had a bunch of surgeries on her face and could barely move her lips. She was talking about something President Donald Trump did. Yep this is the world we live in today. We ordered and our server had a hard time understanding how I wanted my eggs to be cooked for my chile rellenos. While I write this I look at pumpkin happily lie on the floor and wonder how one can get so much enjoyment from laying on the floor and rolling around. Why are humans so complicated? Getting back. My dad got chicken wings and my mom got a one eyed pig that had ham and cheese pancakes with bacon an egg and maple syrup on top! We all dug in and I nearly burned myself on the plate even after the waitress had told me was hot. Yay me.
