So, you want to donate your hair?
I have wanted to cut my hair for a really long time. I have gotten bangs several times by my dad when I was 3-4 when I started growing hair (lol) and then when I was 7 I got bangs and my hair 4 inches shorter. That was probably the worst mistake I had made in my life.

I had no reason to cut my hair, I wanted to cut my hair but I didn't realize how long I would have them and how annoying they would be! Make sure that you really want to donate your hair or if you just thought about it and looked it up. Make sure you have a good reason. I know you might think that donating your hair can be good for people that don’t have it because they have a disease that makes it fall out. Did you see a cute hairstyle in a magazine or a post on Instagram with short hair?

If so or something close to that, make sure that you will like this hairstyle in a couple years because it will only be a couple inches longer in a year. I cried when I got bangs professionally cut and I told my dad to never let me cut my hair short again. I am glad that I told him that because there has been over 10 times that I was seriously thinking about cutting my hair very short. This video is a great one to watch if you would like to know how to properly cut the hair so that it doesn't get thrown away when it gets to the charity that you decide to send it to. This is the most import part. If you don’t package your hair properly then it can get moldy and not be turned into a wig! Then you just cut your hair for a good cause and it went in the trash! This time I will be cutting my hair and donating it to a charity that makes a wig and gives it a kid, hopefully for free. Make sure you look on multiple websites to find a charity that gives the patient a free wig. Lots of hair donation places charge cancer patients lots of money. And the parents are spending a lot of chemo so please double check! I am not sure if I want to do it in a lob or a really short hairstyle that looks like Michelle Williams.

And I don’t know if I want to wait a couple more years so I have 4-6 more inches and then cut it. The reason why I am cutting my hair: I would like a child or an adult to have a wig if they do not have hair and do not feel confident about not having it. Reason number 2: It is more environmentally friendly to have shorter hair because I will use less water washing it and less product on it. And last but not least… I think it will be a LOT less high maintenance having it shorter and I will be able to spend time on things that matter more. Make
