Yesterday...
Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away. This song resonates with so many people, why? If someone is going through something hard they think back to when they had no troubles at all which was yesterday. People think their life . is going pretty well and they lose their job because of budget cuts. All their troubles seemed so far away yesterday. Now they feel like half the person they used to be because they lost something/someone that saw and did daily. If you don't listen to the words it's a fun slow dance song. But if you sit down and put your full attention to it, it's extremely sad.

Yesterday,
All my troubles seemed so far away,
Now it looks as though they're here to stay
Oh I believe in yesterday
Suddenly,
I'm not half the man I used to be
There's a shadow hanging over me
Oh yesterday came suddenly
Why she had to go
I don't know, she wouldn't say
I said something wrong
Now I'm long for yesterday
Somethings in life happen suddenly and you have know idea why and you can't do anything to make it better. You feel powerless, I feel powerless. When you listen to this song you can let go and for a bit it's okay to feel powerless. We spend so much of our life making new memories and doing things that we don't want to do. I think everyone needs to have one week where they focus on themselves and how to be more generous, kind and calm. If you don't love yourself, how can you love someone else and take care of them?
Now let's talk about the song "Imagine" by John Lennon. He was part of the Beatles and they went their separate ways.

He talks about what would happen if we took out all the things that meant so much to us. What if that was our reality? Having no religion, no countries, no heaven, no hell. We can focus on the people around us and loving and caring for them and the world can live as one. What if we didn't judge people by how they looked how much money they had? We would treat the "homeless" and the "housed" the same way. We are all people. Why do we have to make each other feel insecure? If we all helped each other and respected our lifestyles and better understood why someone does the things they do we probably would not judge. The next time you treat someone better or lesser think about why you do it. Is it there skin, religion, the clothes they're wearing or that they can do something for you? Here's is the song, if you want to listen to it. And here are the first couple lyrics that have a big impact.
Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today
Thank you for reading to the end! I've been listening to these songs for years but have listened to the them in the past couple days with many moods and felt okay with myself. I dug a little deeper to find what the true meaning of the songs for me were. If you want to feel good will just doing you thing, living life. Listen to a playlist I made on Spotify here.
