Why I want play electric guitar and other things...

Lately I have really wanted an electric guitar. So many of the songs that I listen to have amazing guitar parts. So why can't I do them? I know playing guitar is not like "hey today i'm going to play guitar" it's a lot harder. Now only does this give me a hobby it's another thing I can do to not annoy my parents in self quarantine (only if I wear headphones). I used to play violin and I still have one but it's in Michigan and we're in Florida. Apparently learning/playing an instrument makes your brain think better but I can't remember!

Learning an instrument was always something that I thought I was going to do and I did but then i got pulled out of public school. We started traveling and I got an electric violin because I thought I wanted it. I'm not going to talk bad about that violin it just wasn't for me. I was so used to the wood build of a violin, when I got it and it, it felt different. You're probably thinking, you should have seen what it looked like before purchasing it and heard what it sounded like. I did but I didn't like it. I don't know if this is something that will become a big part of my life or if it will be something that I look back on and say "yeah that was a nice time but I don't really want to do that anymore". I feel like it's another way I can express myself. I can really listen to the cords in the songs that I play and get a lot more out of the song by playing it. I think you understand music more when you play it. You're going through the same thing as the person who first made it's end product! I've heard the stories of a dad giving a guitar to his son when they were about my age. He might start a band with some friends but it won't get that far. Why is the music industry so hard? It changes so much but do people want to listen to the same style of the same genre. Producers hope that you will like the new stuff but sometimes you compare it to artists other pieces which you think are better. I like a very wide variety of music so I don't know if I'd like to listen to the same genre. I'm going to try playing/learning the electric guitar not so I can become "famous" but so I can understand music more and become closer to it. I don't think I could live without out it. It gives you memories maybe even a routine. Whenever I've cooked or baked something these past couple months the first song I listen to is  Say So by Doja Cat.
